Gateways Boys and Girls Home does not discriminate in its intake and services on the basis of race, religion, color, ethnicity, or national origin. When possible, our facility shall arrange for one or more pre-placement visits by the child and guardian, except in emergency placement situations.

Pre-Admission Requirements:

- At least one interview with the child

- Admissions assessment

- Completion of all intake and admissions forms, indicating that the placement meets the child's needs and best interests.

- Children must have a medical exam 30 days before, or 72 hours after, admission. This includes testing for major illnesses.

- A written placement agreement between the facility and the child's parent(s) or guardian shall be completed at or before placement.

- Ideally, the child should be able to attend public schools.

Gateways Boys and Girls Home contracts with the state of Missouri Childrens Division, as well as private organizations such as Springfield Partners anad Missouri Alliance. We provide emergency placement as well as Level 2 and Level 3 care.
